Juan Roig adds more than a hundred startups to his business accelerator

Lanzadera, the business accelerator promoted by Juan Roig, President of the supermarket chain Mercadona, continues to grow with each new call and has just selected more than 100 startups for this new course.

As explained by the company, which belongs to the Marina de Empresas business and entrepreneurial center in Valencia and is financed by the owner of Mercadona, a large proportion of the projects are innovations in sectors such as real estate, education, or health.

Among the disruptive technologies and solutions they are committed to, entrepreneurs stand out who have developed solutions that automate and optimize processes for companies with artificial intelligence, big data, or robotics developments, among others.

News: Goodbye to the phases

This year’s September call includes important innovations in the methodology of one of the longest-running accelerators in Spain, which more entrepreneurs have passed through in the last decade. Therefore, the selected startups start an updated program in which the previous system has been gradually abolished depending on the stage of development of the project and whose duration is extended to at least 6 months and is renewable.

Based on the needs, comparable results, and maturity level of each startup, Lanzadera now carries out a diagnosis and prescribes a personalized itinerary for each entrepreneur to help them achieve sustainable growth.

Created by Juan Roig, the initiative has supported more than 1,300 companies since its inception in 2013. Almost 300 business projects are currently being pursued at the facilities in La Marina de València.

Marta Nogueras, General Director of Lanzadera, explains that “Companies that offer innovative and differentiated solutions to the customer have been selected. I am convinced that entrepreneurs know how to get the most out of the acceleration program, and we have renewed and strengthened the opportunities and synergies that can be found in a unique ecosystem like Marina de Empresas.”

The selected companies are physically based in Marina de Empresas and receive training on the Total Quality model, a key business management model for Mercadona’s success. Other benefits include support and advice on your financing or investment needs, as well as individual support from specialists.

From mobility to pets

The companies selected in this issue include Activacar, a provider of electric mobility services with a 100% electric B2B2C car sharing service that also installs charging stations, and Advisorsy, which helps consulting companies improve their productivity by automating processes. The use of robots and thus people enables them to devote themselves to other activities.

In real estate, Domoblock is a tokenized investment platform that allows you to invest in high-end projects for as little as 200 euros, while Behauss is a real estate platform that digitizes all home acquisition services thanks to the APP and Reality Virtual.

For its part, AiManager is a platform for managing decentralized companies or chain stores with big data and artificial intelligence capabilities, and Swipet is a digital insurer transforming the world of pet insurance with its technology.

AI is also key to Bettermaps, which aims to revolutionize cartography with artificial intelligence and enable the creation of high-quality maps in natural language.
