Kate Middleton wore a sparkly green dress again in her first official portrait together with Prince William

Kate Middleton and Prince William topped their list this week after seeing their first-ever official portrait together.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have been married for 11 years and have been together for two decades, visited Cambridgeshire on Thursday to see the painting.

The portrait, painted by Jamie Coret, is currently in the Fitzwilliam Museum at the University of Cambridge. Coret said on his Instagram account that the unveiling of the portrait was “a surreal and extraordinary experience.”

“It was the most extraordinary privilege of my life to be chosen to paint this picture,” he added.

The portrait, painted by award-winning portrait artist Jamie Koret, was commissioned in 2021 by the Cambridgeshire Foundation’s Royal Portrait Trust for Cambridgeshire as a gift to Cambridgeshire.

The picture shows the Duke of Cambridge in a suit with a blue tie, and the Duchess in a dress from the British label The Vampire’s Wife.

An iridescent emerald metallic silk chiffon dress called “The Falconetti” is priced at $1,989. Kate previously wore this dress in March 2020, and it made headlines due to its resemblance to one of Princess Beatrice’s favorite dresses called the Honor Dress, also from the label.

The Cambridges posted a photo of viewers looking at the portrait.

“Excited to see this new portrait featured today at @fitzmuseum_uk in Cambridge!” they wrote.

Koret, in a statement shared with HuffPost, spoke about how he sought to portray the royal couple in their first official portrait.

“I wanted to show Their Royal Highnesses in a way that makes them look both relaxed and open, as well as elegant and dignified,” the artist said, adding that he “wanted the image to evoke a sense of balance between their public and private lives.” “.
