A pizzeria in the Katy area was robbed in an unusual way, leaving its owner thousands of dollars in damages.
Jeff Hajjar, the owner of this business, believes that this is more than a robbery.
Hajjar believes that he intentionally damaged his business for political reasons.
In the past, Hajjar has lent his business to hosting political events, which have attracted big names in Texas politics.
Several Republican candidates have visited Fuzzy’s Pizzeria, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Hajjar claims that his business losses grew to more than $20,000.
“They completely damaged everything in the kitchen,” Hajjar said.
Hajjar, the owner of Fuzzy’s Pizza north of Five Ranch in Katy, told us three suspects entered his establishment on Friday morning, stole his cash, his firearm and destroyed part of his restaurant.
“They entered through the wall,” said Hajjar.
Hajjar explains that the criminals entered through his wall, an empty space next to it, and says they entered through there and made a huge hole, causing thousands of dollars in damage to his kitchen.
In addition to making holes, they opened his safe with a saw.
The employees of Hajjar say that they do not feel safe after this robbery, which was not the first time.
“Yeah, it’s unsafe, and other times, you’re scared, it could happen anywhere, now you don’t know if you’re safe in a restaurant,” said Roberto Aguirre, kitchen manager at Fuzzy’s Pizza.
Roberto has been working in this restaurant for more than 20 years, he already worked here when in 2003 a criminal also broke in to steal, but on this occasion the technology used by the criminals surprised him done.
“Last year we have been doing a lot of events for political people,” Hajjar said.
Last year, we were doing a lot of political events, says Jeff, who suspected, somehow, that criminals destroyed part of his business because he hadn’t encountered a situation like this in two decades.
Jeff said the three criminals wore sweatshirts, and used masks and gloves when breaking their place, they are still fugitives from justice, if you know anything about the case, Harris County officers robbery Do not hesitate to call the unit at 713-274-9210, live from the KT area.
