The Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit) announced a new loan called “Equipa tu casa” for an amount between 9,000 461 and 63,000 73 pesos, which can be requested when taking out a mortgage loan for improvements, repairs, or the equipment of the house.
Infonavit General Director Carlos Martnez Velázquez announced in a press conference that this loan is for those who buy a house and is already available as of this Wednesday.
He said that the “Equpa tu casa” credit is a supplement to the mortgage and can only be accessed at the time of registering financing for the purchase of a house through the traditional Infonavit credit and the Infonavit total credit, replacing the Green Mortgage.
They can be used to improve the roof of the house, the electrical system, the water supply, and the property’s habitability for people with disabilities or physical limitations.
He stated that the mortgage interest rate is the same between 3.09 and 10.45 percent, the payment term is the same, the loan payment is monthly, and the same payment solutions are available.
He explained that the requested amount will be granted through two cards: 80 percent for the purchase of materials and 20 percent for labor.
