A short surveillance camera video posted online showed masked figures in hooded sweatshirts picking up items from shelves and walls before an invisible person could turn the camera around.
In an online fundraising campaign GoFundMe published on Tuesday, employees said more than thirty people were involved in the robbery, which is the second highest for a boutique this month.
“Our gates were torn off the frame, the windows were knocked out, and the doorframe was broken,” the message says in part. “These people stole most of our inventory and effectively took us out of business for a while.”
The campaign, which aims to raise $ 10,000 to buy a safe sliding gate, had raised nearly $ 6,000 as of 11:00 am Wednesday. It can be found on the Internet at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-prime-356-recover-from-breakin-and-looting.
