The page to register for Bombo or the 2025 Visa Lottery opened on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 12:00 noon. After several months of uncertainty, Cuba is again included in the list of countries eligible for DV 2025.
Although the US State Department recommends that interested parties not wait until the last minute to register, if you haven’t done so yet, you still have time.
Remember that every year, the United States government makes 55,000 visas available to some countries to legally immigrate. They must meet two basic requirements: come from a country with a low immigration rate to the United States and graduate from pre-university education or its equivalent (12th Grade for Cubans) or have qualified work experience.
If you are one of those who can apply for Pot 2025, you should know that by law you can only register once. The State Department uses sophisticated technology to identify multiple registrations and individuals with more than one registration are not eligible for a Diversity Visa.
2025 VISA LOTTERY IS OVER
If you are applying from Cuba, make sure you have good Internet and an updated browser. If someone helps you from abroad, it must be someone you trust, who is clear about your personal data and does not forget to provide an email that is active and to which they have access, at least until 2024.
You must fill the 2025 Visa Lottery registration form in 60 minutes. If you exceed this time and do not send your complete registration, the system will reject the information already entered.
Upload a recent photo, taken within the last six months. If you have submitted the same photo from previous years, you will be considered ineligible.
Remember: the only page to register for Bombo is https://dvprogram.state.gov/ SAVE your unique confirmation number when you finish registering, as you will need it to check the status of your application in May 2024.
