The body of Leslie Martinez, who went missing on April 30, was found on Tuesday in the municipality of Huitzuko de los Figueroa, Guerrero, by Mario Vergara La Hormiguita while he was searching for his brother, also missing.
In an interview with Azucena Uresti for Radio Formula, Mario explained that he had received information from a person that there was a body in Huitzuco. He explained that he did not know it was Leslie Martinez, having only published that it was the body of a woman with red hair.
“Leslie would have been a missing person in this country who would never have been found if it wasn’t for that person,” he said.
According to Mario, Leslie Martínez’s remains were about five meters apart along the Autopista del Sol.
“People tell me that it had rained very heavily two days before the discovery and where Leslie was lying on his face you could see a water channel passing by, so I say the water channel buried Leslie’s body.” Searched the body, because it had brush up there.” We never find Leslie because she was under a tree, where there is no sun, where the body is preserved. Because if it had been lying there for several days, the animals had not finished it, and it was complete,” he added.
Mario explained that he informed the authorities and stayed to see how they conducted operations to remove the body, although he alleged that there were no protocols in place to do so.
“After that I stayed to see how they operated. There were no protocols for picking up Leslie’s body, the officers were so eager to find out if it was her that they forgot the protocols. It was awful. Is.”
Similarly, he said that the search was a product of the trust that people have developed towards the families of the missing; “Thanks to God and to those who had the courage to slander and inform us.”
“I have found (my brother) in the bodies of all these people, I say that he is giving life to these already inert bodies.”
