A few days after she left to attend high school at the UWC Atlantic College of Wales boarding school, the infant Sofia made the most of his last free time with his mother, Joy Ortiz.
At least that’s how they proved it this Sunday The Grand Final of the Women’s World Cup between Spain and England was played at the Accord Stadium in Sydney, culminating in victory for the Spanish team.
Although the monarch and her daughter had never attended a sporting event of this nature together before, The love of King Felipe VI’s youngest daughter for football is well known. So it’s not entirely surprising that her mother wanted to take this historic moment for the Spanish women’s team with her to Australia.

After the triumph of the Spanish selection, Ortiz, along with the rest of the authorities, was responsible for handing over the trophy to the captain and then celebrated that win as another. In addition, it was possible to see the Infanta Sofia with the flag in her hand and a smile on her face, totally integrated with the girls in their celebrations.
As a token of appreciation for their support, the women’s team presented them with a jersey with the number 12 and their names on the back. Great joy and pampering were experienced by the queen after parting with her eldest daughter Leonor, who has started his military training and will stay away from La Zarzuela for a long time.

The presence of the monarch and the Infanta at the Accord Stadium in Sydney was again of great symbolic importance and is another example of the Royal Family’s commitment to this new generation of talent.
An unforgettable experience during which they also had the opportunity to go to the dressing room to chat with the players. It is worth remembering that on May 8 of this year, the Infanta accompanied her father in the final of the Copa del Rey in Seville.
