Liebherr-Australia has successfully delivered its first R 9300 mining excavator to MACA for the Karlawinda Gold Project in Western Australia. This is the first time this machine is introduced in the country and proves its solid reputation in the industry.
The commissioning of the R 9300 further strengthens MACA’s Liebherr excavator fleet, which already comprises three R 9200 excavators. MACA, a global mining, construction and process engineering contractor, was thrilled to have the R 9300 join its fleet.
The choice of the R 9300 was based on its ability to meet production targets, as well as its fuel efficiency, cutting-edge technology and operational efficiencies. Liebherr-Australia completed the assembly, testing and commissioning of the machine in just four weeks. Support for the R 9300 will continue to be provided by the Liebherr Australia branches in Perth and Newman and by the Liebherr mining dredger factory in Colmar, France.
Launched worldwide in June 2021, the R 9300 is the second Generation 8 excavator in Liebherr’s mining portfolio. Equipped with advanced Liebherr mining innovations as standard, the R 9300 is set to replace the R 9250 as Liebherr’s 250-tonne mining excavator in 2024.
