The behavior of the sector during these dates, he said, encourages local consumption; in addition to being an incentive for this economic branch that sees inflation as one of the main challenges of the year.
“This economic impact is favorable to be able to continue to face the challenge of inflation and we recognize that a large part of the citizens are choosing more and more to consume local products, they disperse consumption,” he declared.

For May 10 (Mother’s Day), the projection of the local Chamber of Commerce is to take 420 million pesos, a figure that would represent an annual increase of 8 percent.
Likewise, this forecast is close to the pre-pandemic indicators, from the same date in 2019, the business leader specified.
“It is a figure that is already very similar to the data we had in the months before the pandemic, particularly we are reflecting on May 10, 2019, it is positive data,” he said.
Faced with the coming season of high consumption, local businesses have begun to develop strategies to encourage purchases. Therefore, the chamber chose to train vendors to implement promotions.
“At the same time, tools have been created so that people who manage a business can recognize the best way to put promotions. They were also supported to provide them with financing tools to be able to store their inventory and be ready to take advantage of this season”, he stated.
For this May 10, the most requested businesses are jewelry stores, restaurants, and department stores, among others.
Given this date, the president of the Queretaro Chamber of Commerce encouraged consumers to choose to make their purchases in local businesses, boosting domestic consumption and performance in the tertiary sector.
