Luis Blasini confirms the start date of this major league in Magallanes

Undoubtedly, life without sanctions was easier for Magallanes Navigators. After four seasons of not being able to rely on players from the MLB system, the penalty is finally gone and the sending team can rely on all its weapons for the 2023/24 season.

From the early stages, players like Carlos David Rodríguez, Víctor Berricoto or Angelo Castellano became fundamental parts of the offensive production of the ninth filibuster, giving a fresh air to the lineup.

But the work doesn’t stop, as the Navigators continue to work to add more players in the coming weeks. In that sense, the sports manager of Carabobeños, Luis Blasini, exclusively revealed to Meridiano the date of the arrival of a “big leaguer” in the team.

René Pinto, a catcher living with the Tampa Bay Rays, was announced weeks ago as one of the players committed to joining “La Nave” at some point this season.

The receiver is already in Venezuela and has a debut date. “René Pinto will make his debut on November 7, God willing, if the plans that he and I discussed will be fulfilled as agreed. He should make his debut on Tuesday, November 7″confirmed by Luis Blasini, so the Rays player should make his debut against Tigres de Aragua in Maracay.

In this way, the Venezuelan major leaguer will return to Venezuela, because he has not worn the Navegantes del Magallanes uniform since the 2018/19 season, when he was hit for .208/.263/.359/.622 in 53 at-bats, which at the time was a young 21-year-old prospect who had just debuted in the powerful Class A.
