Marvel has announced the return of Steve Rogers, but it’s not what you expected. As anticipated in the first season of the animated series What If?, the character of Chris Evans and his Hydra Stomper suit were stored in a cryogenic state on another Earth by the criminal organization. A country separate from the main MCU country we all know.

Since the armor was somewhat of a mystery in the first season, fans weren’t able to get a close look at the upgraded version of the Hydra Stomper. But the latest addition to Hasbro’s popular line of Marvel Legends action figures has revealed a new look at Steve Rogers’ design in the second season of What If? You’ve got that look on these lines. As you can see, the animation character’s sculpt is entirely based on Chris Evans. So the return of the Sentinel of Freedom is already here. We’ll have to wait for the future of UCM to see if it returns in any other way.
The season 2 premiere of “What If” remains a mystery
But when will we next see Steve Rogers in the animated series? When does the second season of What If start? Unfortunately, at first It’s not known exactly when Marvel Studios and Disney+ will release the next season of What If? Apparently, the release was planned for the beginning of the year. But it was delayed after rumors surfaced that the Kevin Feige-led studio would change its approach and prioritize quality over quantity.
In this sense, the situation at Marvel Studios is a bit complicated at the moment. They go from restructuring to restructuring. And aside from the fact that it takes a while to see Steve Rogers in What If Season 2, the truth is that Phase 6 of the UCM is in some ways in danger of being altered.
