Friends star Matthew Perry has announced that he has completed work on his autobiography.
The actor, who played the sarcastic Chandler Bing on the popular American sitcom, joked that his “ego” didn’t like that he ended up writing about himself.
The book is titled Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing and will be available starting November 1.
Sharing a picture of the finished work on Instagram, the actor wrote: “My ego doesn’t like that I have to stop writing about myself.
Announcing the book’s title and release date, Perry stated that much had been written about him and that it was “the time people heard from me”.
“The highs were the highs, the lows were low,” he said.
“But I live to tell stories, although there were times when it seemed like I wouldn’t. And here it is.”
He continued: “I’m sorry it’s not a pop up book.”
Perry’s memoir will be published by Flatiron Books, which acquired the rights in a deal in the “mid-seven figure range”, according to US reports.
