Actor Matthew Perry, famous for playing Chandler on the television series ‘Friends’, died this Saturday at the age of 54 due to an alleged drowning, TMZ reports.
According to American entertainment media, police sources detailed that the actor was found dead in a house in the Los Angeles, California area.
According to initial reports, The actor was supposed to have died of drowning. Even if first responders were to respond to an emergency call for cardiac arrest. However, it is not yet known where it is located.
TMZ said that Police sources found him in the jacuzzi of the house and there were no signs of drugs or other items in the area.

Matthew Perry remembers his role as Chandler Bing in the successful 90s comedy ‘Friends’, which has 10 seasons and a reunion of its cast in 2021.
The actor became one of the favorite characters of the series for his characteristic movements and jokes, many of which continue to be recreated in different social networks. His role earned him an Emmy nomination in 2002 for best lead actor in a comedy series.
Although her most important role was with Friends, Perry also appeared in films such as ‘False Appearances’; ’17 again’; ‘Birds of America’ and series like ‘Boys will be boys’, ‘Problems grow’, ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Go on’ to name a few. Contrary to his on-screen portrayal, Matthew Perry struggled for several years against his addiction to alcohol, drugs and painkillers, especially Vicodin and methadone. Because of his addiction, he has been in several rehabilitation programs since 1997.
Matthew recounted this painful chapter of his life in a memoir he published last year, titled “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir.” where he also discussed his weight loss and gain during the comedy show.
Although Perry appeared clean and sober for a year, during the ‘Friends’ reunion the actor caused concern among his followers, who noticed that he did not seem well and that he slurred his words and tanned -look at the bad.
Matthew also dealt with health issues, some of which were severe and required hospitalization. One of the incidents was due to a gastrointestinal perforation, which forced him to undergo emergency surgery from which he recovered.
