McDonald’s: 49ers win over Jaguar more impressive than defeat Ramso

The 49ers only have .500 teams on record. Although their 5-5 record isn’t going to cause any parades, Sunday’s 30-10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars ranks as the high point of the season and is the best sign they can still hope to do more. Special dreams remain intact.

Yep, it was even more impressive than their 31-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

The Jaguars are nothing special, and it really looked like a 2-8 team was going nowhere. So should winning a game make you win something extraordinary?

taking care of business.

If there was such a thing as a trap game, it was it.

The 49ers were coming off a game in which they saved their season on Monday night in front of a nationally televised audience. He traveled cross country in a short week for a 10 a.m. game according to his body clocks.

Jacksonville is not a strong opponent, but the Jaguars came with a reputation for being good defensively against the run. And the 49ers, when they can’t run, become a simple team.

I was a little skeptical about the 49ers destroying the rams, wondering if it’s sustainable. Coach Kyle Shanahan owned Sean McVay in one-on-one matchups and the Rams were as bad as the 49ers were that night. The 49ers were desperate and played that way.

Let’s see they do it again, this time without any frustration and against a team they hope to beat.

From the look of it, Jaguar saw what the 49ers had to face in terms of the short week and long journey and got tired of the thought of it.

Instead, the 49ers were the new team, and they took it to the Jaguars from the start with a 20-play, 87-yard drive that resulted in only one field goal – a 20-yard kick from Robbie Gould – but consumed 13 : 05 of the first quarter.

The 49ers forced three more outs. , , Then he scored a touchdown. , Then he forced turnovers, courtesy of Josh Norman. , , Then it was 20-30 o’clock at halftime and the game was over.

Shanahan, as he does when he is at his best, finds different ways against the Jaguar to accomplish what his crime has done against Rama.

Instead of going shotgun with no play-action, Shanahan had Jimmy Garoppolo on more than half the snaps. Without Elijah Mitchell, after finger surgery, he employed the backfields of Jeff Wilson (19 carries, 50 yards), Trey Cerman (10 carries, 32 yards) and of course Deebo Samuel (eight carries, 79 yards).

The 49ers attacked differently and achieved the same result. He led it 44 times against rams, 42 times against jaguars.

Defensively, the 49ers never let Jacksonville get into rhythm—which isn’t surprising considering the Jaguars only had the ball for 21:38 out of 60 minutes. Fresh and aggressive, the 49ers’ defense ensured that rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence never hit the track.

Safety Jimmy Ward and tight end George Kittel said there would be little room for disappointment after the Rams’ victories during the week. The 49ers had already lost enough this season and no one wanted to feel the way they did after their Week 9 loss against Arizona.

But during the week something is saying, and then on Sunday you are showing the meaning. That’s exactly what the 49ers did.

Shanahan said, “I love what it looks like, but I don’t think it was too hard to get people’s attention and be ready to play.” “We knew what it felt like to lose a game. We know how good it felt to beat up Ram and we didn’t want it to end today.

Although all 49 players were equal in terms of win-loss records, they look ahead of the game when it comes to swagger and confidence.

“I think it’s coming together at the right time,” said linebacker Fred Warner. “We’re back in that half of the season and we’re warming up. That’s all we though. I think we’re always trying to find that identity, trying to find ourselves and It’s starting to show.”

It helps that the 49ers’ best players are playing their best football.

Warner, who admitted he was not up to par during the week, is in form again. He had seven tackles and one fumble recovery. Nick Bosa, who had two sacks and would be one of the first names mentioned in any conversation about NFL Defensive Player of the Year, appears to be unblockable. Kittel scored touchdowns in three straight games for the first time in his career.
