Cal State Fullerton men’s soccer fell to Cal Poly on the road by a final score of 5-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Titans are now 11-4-3 on the year and 5-2-1 in Big West play.
Cal Poly jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute and would go on to score two more goals to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
The Mustangs quickly erased any hopes of a comeback in the second half, scoring with 20 seconds left to take a 4-0 lead. Cal Poly scored the second goal of the second half in the 60th minute.
Fullerton entered the game with a chance to lock up the Big West regular-season title and the No. The Titans still remain in first place in the conference with 16 points. UC Santa Barbara is in second place with 14 points, while UC Irvine is in third place with 13 points.
The Titans return to Titan Stadium for the final regular-season game on Saturday against UC Santa Barbara. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
