On Thursday, the nanny’s name was announced: Nely Janelly Ramírez, who was identified as responsible for stealing the child. According to the child’s mother, the nanny, who has worked at the house for more than a year, put the family to bed with tea to which she had added a sleeping pill, so the next morning they realized the theft.
Based on the initial investigation, the woman took a taxi early Thursday morning to Tulancingo, where she met a man who has been identified as a municipal police officer from Chalco and his partner, who is on medical leave.
The authorities of Hidalgo and the State of Mexico conducted three searches and inspections of four houses, but the alleged perpetrators have not yet been found.
