In an interview that caught the attention of Argentina and abroad, the ultra-libertarian presidential candidate Javier Milei continues his attack against Pope Francis, declaring that he is a “defender of dictatorships”, and repeating that he does not plan to negotiate with China, with the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and with any communist.

Milei was interviewed by ultraconservative journalist Tucker Carlson. The presenter, who defends various conspiracy theories and supports the former President of the United States Donald Trump, traveled to Buenos Aires to talk to Milei, whom he described as “the most famous person” in Argentina.
Milei accused Pope Francis of defending Fidel Castro and Nicolás Maduro
Milei has long clarified his disagreement with Pope Francis and his view on the fight against socialism. He asserted that the Supreme Pontiff was “playing politics,” and highlighted the Pope’s alleged ties to the communist dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela. This comment created a moment of surprise for Carlson, after asking him directly if he considered Raúl Castro a murderer. Milei answered in the affirmative, maintaining that the Pope had ties to communist murderers.
“The Pope plays politics, he has strong political interference, he shows great ties with dictators like Castro and Maduro, he is on the side of the bloody dictatorship (…) He has ties to the murderers communist, in fact he does not. Condemn them, he somewhat underestimates them, and also the Venezuelan dictatorship. It degrades everyone on the left, even if they are real criminals, which is a problem, “said Milei.
Milei reiterated her position against feminism
In his criticism of the State, Milei argued that all Regulations and restrictions promoted by government agencies, such as the Ministry of Women in Argentina, create positive discrimination, which he considered offensive to women. According to the candidate, these state actions cause more harm than they are intended to correct and lead to inequality before the law.
“All these regulations and restrictions promoted by these organizations, such as the Ministry of Women, create positive discrimination, which is discrimination that seems to completely hurt women, because it means treating them as inferior beings, which seems bad to me“, he considered. “Each action of the state creates greater harm than it needs to be right.”
Carlson also asked Milei to send a message to Trump, his ideological ally and candidate for the presidency of the United States. The libertarian pointed out that Trump should continue “his fight against socialism because he is one of the few who fully understands that the fight is against socialism, against statistics, and who understands that the generation of wealth comes from the private sector. The State does not create wealth, it destroys it.”
