The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has awarded a service contract for the amount of 17.21 million euros (including VAT) for the implementation of various operations of conservation and operation of roads in the State, in the province of Saragossa.
The contract affects a total of 286 km, which includes 45 km of highway, and has a duration of 2 years with the possibility of extension for another 3, and an additional period of 9 months.
This is part of the Mitma road conservation and exploitation program, which allows roads to be maintained in the State Highway Network so that they are accessible in adequate condition for all citizens.
Action will be taken in sector 1, which includes roads A-2, A-68, N-2, N-2A, N-211, N-232, N-232A and Z-40.
In addition, this contract includes two specific projects for minor network improvement works.
- Rehabilitation of the pavement on the A-68 highway, from km 230,000 to 232,530.
- Construction of a roundabout on highway N-2 km 331,500. TM Zaragoza
The service contract model for the implementation of operations of conservation and exploitation of the State Highway Network seeks to offer a comprehensive service to the movement of the user, improving the condition of the road and network, and optimizing the resources of the public.
Through them, the work is done to help the traffic and ordinary maintenance of the road, to allow the road and the elements that work on it to have the best possible road conditions and safety, including actions such as monitoring and attention to accidents and incidents. , winter roads, tunnel control service and communication, maintenance of facilities, establishing inventories and identification of road conditions, status and program information agenda, operational assistance and safety studies of road, and maintenance of road elements with an adequate quality level.
This model reinforces the orientation towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to which Mitma is committed.
