A new case of possible electoral corruption occurred in the department of Meta, where two subjects were caught in different incidents with money and political propaganda, according to the Police.
According to the Police, “As a result of police activities, in the last few hours, the arrest of two men was recorded in the cities of Acacías and Puerto Gaitán, Meta, who, committed electoral crimes classified in Code. The Colombian penalty.”
The police authority explained that “the first incident was recorded on the national highway in the town of Acacias, where a 41-year-old man was arrested, traveling in a high-end car and more than 50 million what was found and seized. in peso money and propaganda aimed at two popularly elected candidates: one for mayor and one for council.

Regarding the criminal responsibility of those arrested, the Police explained that “the arrest procedures are carried out under the coordination of the Attorney General’s Office, where it will be conducted in the judicialization process, for the alleged commission of election crimes.”
