More than 40 million Americans voted in the election

To date, Texas has 5,490,000, while Florida has 4,788,000 and California has more than 4,33,000, according to data from the United States Elections Project site.

In that last state, of the total number of voters, 50.4 percent are Democratic-ranked and Republicans represent 28.2 percent.

Meanwhile, in Florida, 36.7 percent of those who cast their vote identify with a blue awning, and 43.4 are conservative.

Nationally, liberals lead Republicans with 42.7 percent to 34.1 votes.

Those over the age of 65 are those who participate in the highest proportion with a total of 42.2 percent, followed by the group between 41 and 65, with 41.8 percent.

For their part, women outnumber men to date, as they represent 54 percent of all ballots.

Non-Hispanic whites make up the remaining 64.6 percent, while non-Hispanic blacks reach 24.4 percentage points.

Mid-term elections are estimated to have lower turnout than presidential elections, and according to data from the past half a century, only 40 percent of voters go to the polls in these elections.

These votes, to be held tomorrow, are set to decide 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 36 out of 100 governors and 35 senators.
