New shock in Marbella due to the shooting that happened last Saturday, in broad daylight, around the A-7, near the Guadalmina Shopping Center. According to SUR, three men wearing hoodies fired several shots, in which two people were hit. They ran away immediately. Everything indicates that it will be a settlement of scores.
According to police sources, there is no fear for the lives of the two injured, who were transferred to the Costa del Sol Hospital in Marbella. One of them had a wound in his hand, while the second one had a gunshot wound in his pelvis, arm and leg. Both are stable and await evolution.
The events happened around 12:45 in the afternoon on Saturday, October 28. According to the accounts of the witnesses, three men participated in the shooting and shot their faces hidden under the hood. After reaching the two victims, the suspects sped away in a car.
The 112-AndalucÃa Emergency service received many calls due to the event, which caused panic among the people present in the area. The operators quickly notified 061, the National Police and the Local Police.
In addition to the health service, several police units arrived at the scene of the shooting to interview witnesses and cordon off the area to facilitate the search for possible evidence.
The National Police has opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the latest firearms incident and to find those responsible. So far, as specified, there have been no arrests.
It should be remembered that in July of this year, a similar incident occurred around the Cristamar Shopping Center, also in Marbella. It also happened in broad daylight, around 6:00 pm, when several individuals participated in a shootout in which they used at least one submachine gun.
It is believed that the suspects got into a car and at least one of them got out with an automatic weapon and walked on foot towards a restaurant where he aimed the shooting, leaving no one injured. The perpetrators fled in the same vehicle.
Not even ten minutes had passed when – at 6:08 pm – the 112-AndalucÃa Emergency phones rang again. Several people called to report seeing smoke and flames in the Benavolá area of ​​Marbella, located a few kilometers from the point where the shots were fired.
The fire was stabilized an hour and a half later thanks to the dispatch of Infoca, which mobilized a device composed of ground and air troops. According to sources, the forest fire was caused by a BMW brand car that was left on fire and which seems to have been completely burnt. It was apparently the same vehicle used by the perpetrators of the shooting to escape.
