NFL Week 7 Election: 49’s Winning Drought Over; Browns beat Broncos

In short, here’s my week 7 NFL pick:

49ers 26, Colts 20: Two years after celebrating a rain-soaked victory at Washington Field, the 49ers may repeat the same Sunday night at Levi Stadium. That’s all the statewide drought has been announced! The 49ers victory drought is over. Line: 49ers -3 1/2

Browns 23, Broncos 17: Baker Mayfield is eliminated and Keyes Kinum replaces the Browns, whose quarterback situation is still better than the eternal purgatory of the Broncos. Line: brown -2

Bengals 27, Ravens 26: Who are they? Who are they? Who knew the Bengals score 5th most points in the NFL? Line: Ravens -6 1/2

Packers 27, Washington 24: A week after Aaron Rogers’ performance, “I Own You!” A message to fans from Chicago, he’s returned to the corporate office in Green Bay, where fans do own the Packers (and therefore Rogers) franchise. Line: Washington +8 1/2

Falcons 31, Dolphins 21: Two years after Tank-for-Tua, Dolphins fans are now begging anyone to “trade for Tua”. Line: Falcons -2 1/2

Patriots 25, Jets 16: It took Mc Jones five tries for his first home win. Line: Patriots -7

Panthers 21, Giants 20: Never bet against Sam Bradford at the Meadowlands unless he plays for the home team. String: Panthers -3

Chiefs 31, Titans 23: Despair for Tennessee after Josh Allen beat Buffalo in the Music City Miracle-Whip Slip at Step Four. Line: Chiefs -5 1/2

Rams 33, Lviv 16: Jared Goff has been challenged by losing Lions coach Dan Campbell to “do even more” and he can’t get his Hollywood magic back. Goff falls to 0-14 without Sean McVeigh as his coach. Line: Rams -15

Raiders 20, Eagles 13: Celine Dion’s Vegas residency is on hold, so the hottest show on the Strip (or a block from it) features post-Gruden Raiders who forget a 5-2 goodbye. Line: Raiders -3

Cardinals 33, Texans 16: The Houston pipeline first sent DeAndre Hopkins to reinforce the Cardinals’ offensive, and now JJ Watt is strengthening Arizona’s defenses. String: Cardinals -18 1/2

Buks 33, Bears 23: Tom Brady improved to 6-1 all-time against the Bears (0.857 possession), better than Rogers Packers (21-5, 0.88 possession). Line: Bucs -12

Seahawks 24, Saints 21: It’s always nice to see Drew Breeze vs. Russell Wilson at prime time. Oh wait, Jamis Winston vs. Geno Smith? Only the Manning brothers can save this. Line: Seahawks +4 1/2

Last week: 9-5 in a row, 5-9 against the spread

Season: 54-40 in a row, 41-52-1 versus spread
