The three performances at the Sydney Opera House on December 16, 17, and 18 were the highlights of an emotional journey captured for a glowing new live album, “Australian Carnage. Live at the Sydney Opera House”. The album is already available digitally, and on December 1, it will come out on vinyl through Goliath Records, although it will only cover part of what we can hear digitally.

Yes OK Ellis is a long-time member of The Bad Seeds, and he and Cave have composed and recorded scores and collaborated on many other projects. This was the first time the couple toured Australia as a duo. Their creative chemistry is rooted in their long history of making music, both as collaborators and as individual artists. Their paths first crossed in 1993 when Ellis, then leader of Dirty Three, played violin on several songs on the album Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, “Let Love In”, before joining the band as a full-time member. The two also recorded under the Grinderman moniker, formed in 2006, and have composed and recorded numerous film, television, and theater soundtracks together.
