The Kia Sport stands out as a balanced SUV, with the trade-off between comfort and agility well done. It offers many electrified versions.
One of the benchmarks in the general SUV segment is the Kia Sportage, a model that can have the ECO Label and now enjoys the fattest price of 5,000 coins.
With 4.52 meters in length, the Kia Sportage has the typical dimensions of a medium SUV. A segment in which the Ford Kuga, Seat Ateca or Peugeot 3008 also compete, to name just a few examples.
Now you can get one of the best selling SUVs in Spain with the Eco Label and a 5000-euro discount.
The Kia Sporta stands out as a very balanced SUV, with a fairly successful compromise between comfort and handling, although it does not stand out separately in either of these two aspects compared to its rivals.
That is, whoever has comfort as a priority, there are other alternatives, such as the Citroën C5 Aircross or the Hyundai Tucson, and whoever is looking for an SUV with a more active approach, the Seat Ateca or the Ford Kuga are more interesting options.
The Sportage, on the other hand, is a symbiosis of everything, a car made to please a large audience, or, in other words, to make many drivers feel comfortable behind the wheel of a Korean SUV.
On the other hand, it is worth paying attention to the new proposal of the interior, compared to the previous generation, it is very minimalist, modern design and at the same time, a great sense of perceived quality.
In addition, it has the largest chamber and one of the largest trunks in the segment: up to 591 liters, although this capacity is reduced in the electrified versions.
A wide range of electrified guns
One of the strengths of the Kia Sportage is its variety of engines, both diesel and gasoline, which include several electrified options, some with the ECO Label, others with the DGT NERO Label.
On the one hand, Kia offers a 150 hp 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine and a 116 hp 1.6 CRDi diesel engine, both with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. The same gasoline engine is available with a mild-hybrid system and the ability to add a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
There is also a mild hybridization system in the 136 CV 1.6 CRDi MHEV Diesel engine, with manual or automatic transmission and front or wheel drive, and another 180 CV 1.6 T-GDI MHEV petrol engine, only with automatic transmission and 4×4 traction.
In addition, there is a 230 hp HEV 1.6 T-GDI hybrid version, available with front and all-wheel drive, and a plug-in sports hybrid with 265 hp and 70 kilometers of electric range. The latter has the NIL Label, the other hybrid versions have the ECO Label.
Kia equipment
Kia Portugal’s equipment is organized in four levels: Concept, Drive, Tech and GT-Line, although hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions start from Drive.
From the basic level, the Korean SUV includes 17-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and driving assistants such as parking and cruise control.
Price, Kia Sportage starts at 28,450 euros with 150 gasoline engine and complete concept. The most economical version with the ECO Label is the 136 CV MHEV diesel, which starts at 32,853 in cash.
For its part, the sports car HEV (non-plug-in hybrid) is priced at 38,000 euros and the plug-in hybrid sports car starts at 45,900 euros. However, the Korean brand offers an interesting discount to 5,000, depending on the version.
