The nation’s Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, visited the Center for Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy in the city of Formosa, as part of her visit to the inauguration of the Vaccine Storage Center, which took place in the early morning hours of Wednesday 16.
In this regard, Martin Mutuberia “Dr. Néstor Kirchner”, General Manager of the Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Foundation, highlighted the presence of the national official, stating that “it is very important to be able to see the progress and implementation of this space “.
Thus he explained that “it is already a reality and work is being done in the field of radiotherapy, serving dozens of patients.”
He commented, “The Minister was able to see that we have the equipment and a growing sense of how we will continue to work.”
The person in charge recognized that Vizzotti was “impressed” with the center, because “he highlighted the characteristics and, mainly, the equipment and professionals that we have for the health care of Formosenos.”
In that sequence, he stressed that “today we have reached 80 patients, half of whom are being treated, others have started their first consultation and about 20 have already completed the treatment.”
Mutuburria was “proud” of operating the place, commending “the great effort the provincial government has been making over the years to achieve this.”
Finally, he stressed that “we will continue to work hard to advance and grow in the field of nuclear medicine,” adding the implementation of the positron emission tomograph and radiopharmacy.
Regarding the latter, he explained that it is planned to be included next year and stressed that “it is very important because it complements the treatment we already have.”
