Nupur Sharma Goes To Supreme Court: Supreme Court will hear today on the petition of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma, accused of making controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammed. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Jamshed Pardiwala will hear the petition. Earlier on July 1, Nupur’s previous petition was taken up for hearing in this bench. Then the bench refused to hear the petition, making strict comments. In the new petition, Nupur has demanded a stay on her arrest and transfer of all the FIRs registered against her to Delhi.

A special bench of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Pardiwala has been constituted to hear the Nupur Sharma case. According to the list already released for the hearing, both the judges are part of different benches on Tuesday. In such a situation, they will have to sit together especially after completing their predetermined work to hear this matter. Therefore, the hearing of this petition is expected to take place only afternoon.
‘Court’s comment raises danger’
Nupur has said in the new petition that on July 1, the Supreme Court had made unexpectedly harsh comments while refusing to hear her petition. Due to this the danger to his life has increased even more. Nupur has demanded a stay on arrest in 9 FIRs registered against her in 8 states. Along with this, a request has also been made to transfer all the cases together and transfer them to Delhi. Apart from the Center, 8 states – Delhi, Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir and Assam have been made parties in the petition.
The court had said responsible for the deteriorating situation
On July 1, Nupur’s petition, which was up for hearing, had also demanded the transfer of the cases registered against her in different states to Delhi in the controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. But the court refused to hear the petition. The court had reprimanded Nupur and said that she alone is responsible for the deteriorating condition of the country. The court had also said that the unfortunate incident that took place in Udaipur is the result of Nupur’s statement.
On this day the judges had said, “The situation in the country has deteriorated because of you. You apologized late, that too with the condition that if someone’s sentiments are hurt, then I withdraw the statement. You should come on national TV and tell the whole country.” Must apologize.”
Delhi Police was also pulled up
The court had also taken a dig at Delhi Police on that day. Said, “What action has been taken in the FIR registered in Delhi? Here, maybe the police has laid a red carpet for you? You are getting special status. But such status will not be available in court. You can go to the High Court of every state. Speak your mind, get bail from the lower court.”
