It will be the Frenchman’s second rally this season in the WRC
Ogier takes six wins at the Rally of Mexico
Sébastien Ogier has confirmed he will drive Rally Mexico, so it won’t be long to see the Frenchman back in the Toyota GR Yaris Rally 1.
It must be remembered that Ogier, like the 2022 season, is immersed in a partial schedule in the World Rally Championship with Toyota.
His first participation of the year could be none other than the Monte Carlo Rally, and the Gap driver was in charge of ‘fatiguing’ his record with another win.
From then on, and once his absence was confirmed in Sweden – the 4th GR Yaris Rally1 was ‘rented’ to Lorenzo Bertelli -, there were many unknowns.
But it won’t be long to wait to see the eight-time WRC champion back in action, as revealed by Sébastien himself on Canal+ Sport Will contest the Rally of Mexico.

“Following his victory in Monte Carlo, Sébastien Ogier announces his participation in the Rally of Mexico”, the French channel’s tweet read.
Rally Mexico is the third event of the 2023 world championship season and will take place from March 16 to 19.
It should be mentioned that Mexico has been out of the World Cup calendar for two years -2021 and 2022. The last time the WRC traveled there was in 2020 and the Sunday stage could not be held due to the ‘outbreak’ of the pandemic; The winner of that edition was Sébastien Ogier.
In fact, Ogier has won the last three editions of the World Cup under Mexico’s umbrella, taking his overall tally to six in the event. He is tied on wins with Sébastien Loeb, so he will have the opportunity to break the tie in their other encounters, as he already did in Monte Carlo.
