‘First Dates’ brings together couples on blind dates. These contestants will have a conversation during dinner in which they will meet and see if they are really compatible or not. At the end of the meeting, they will decide whether they have similar tastes and want to get to know each other, or, on the contrary, prefer not to know anything about each other.
This Wednesday event has brought together Carlos (64 years old) and Silvia (62). A virgin is defined as someone with a strong personality: “I’m not dangerous but it’s my bad mood that I’m able to ignore you.” She commented that you have to know how to live with her as she is “quite nervous, jealous and active”. The Catalan assures that he does not let himself get carried away by everyone, and considers himself a “henpecked”.
Sylvia’s first impression hasn’t been great: “Something that’s pushed me back is that she has a belly and doesn’t take care of herself.” He also doesn’t like his date’s physique: “I like a guy who’s a little fat (…) I think it’s great if he’s good looking, but I like him fat.”
During the date, both of them have noticed that they do not fit together and have different personalities. Carlos is 64 years old and has confessed that sometimes he thinks that “from here you go to heaven”, something that the Catalan woman has not liked at all, and that he has assured that he is “overrated” and has one too many lives to live.
The bachelor has explained that he has been with many young women, and that he has gone to various countries for them. “My daughter used to tell me: ‘Dad, these women go wherever they go,’ and I didn’t even care.” When Sylvia asked him how old they were, he remarked that they were 24 and 26, at which she was perplexed: “Where are you going? You’re a cougar!”
In the final decision, both have agreed that they do not want to do a second date. The two have taken a liking to each other, but as individuals, their absence has been conspicuous since the familiarity and chemistry needed to establish a love relationship.
