OpenAI introduces a new optimization feature that allows companies and developers to create a ChatGPT fully customized to their needs.
OpenAI continues to advance and announces a novelty that already allows companies to customize their artificial intelligence model, the GPT-3.5 Turbo. By adapting this model, developers can tailor it for specific tasks, like completing code or maintaining a specific writing tone.
This adaptability promises to make ChatGPT even more efficient and effective for very special applications. “For example, developers can use settings to ensure that the model always responds in German when prompted to use that language,” says OpenAI.
“Since the release of GPT-3.5 Turbo, developers and companies have been demanding the ability to customize the model to create unique and differentiated experiences for their users,” the company writes in a blog post. “This update gives developers the ability to customize models that work best for their use cases and run those custom models at scale.”
That’s why OpenAI has opened the door for everyone to use their own data to optimize the GPT-3.5 Turbo. This results in a custom model that can match or even exceed the capabilities of GPT-4 in certain contexts. Starting this fall, OpenAI plans to bring this new feature to GPT-4 as well.
OpenAI enables enterprise AI personalization with GPT-3.5 Turbo
The GPT-3.5 Turbo is part of a family of models that OpenAI introduced this year that have proven to be very powerful for use cases beyond the regular chatbot. This model can process up to 4,000 tokens simultaneously and offers more flexibility and power than its predecessors.
With this additional novelty in the customization process, companies can create almost exclusive chatbots, offering very precise answers in the language they want with more concise or personalized writing, ensuring an improvement in the texts produced.
Furthermore, this adjustment not only improves the accuracy of the model but also reduces the need for lengthy instructions, thereby reducing usage time and associated costs. The company adds that the early developers were able to perform 90% shorter prompts after preparing GPT-3.5 with customized instructions.
