Pac-12 preview: BYU sweeps, streaks of the rivalry week, split details, history in the Apple Cup and more

Twelve essentials for the 13th week of the Pac-12 season…

3. Oregon schools stopped calling their rivalry game Civil War in the summer of 2020 and did not settle on a new name.

7. Streaks of Rivalry Week Note:

Regional Cup: Arizona State has won four in a row over Arizona, including a 70-7 win last year. The Wildcats have not won in Tempe since 2009.

Apple Cup: Washington has won seven in a row over WSU. The Cougars have not won in Seattle since 2007.

Thunder in the Rockies: Utah has won four in a row (and eight of the last nine) over Colorado. Buffalo hasn’t won in Salt Lake City since 2011.

Oregon vs. OSU: The Beavers have not lived in Eugene since 2007.

Big Ten: Five
SEC: Five
ACC: Four
Big 12: Three
American: two
Pac-12: Two
Mountain West: One

9. Most successful teams in the Pac-12 against Prasar this season? Glad you asked.

According to TeamRankings.com, Washington State, Oregon State and UCLA are 7-4 so far.

On the other end of the spectrum: Stanford and Washington are 3-8 against the spread.
