Photos: Here’s an inning by inning look of a brutal Giants’ Game 4 loss to Dodgers

Defeating an opponent is never easy, and the Giants figured it out when the Dodgers beat San Francisco 7-2 to become a 2-2 National League division streak. 5th winner-take-all game.

Game four of the NLDS did not start well for the Giants as starter Anthony DeSclafani was eliminated in the second inning. This prompted manager Gabe Kapler to call a pitcher parade to beat Game 4. It didn’t end well as the Giants tried to limit damage in every inning, but ended up giving up a few runs.

The Giants managed to score two rounds after landing. Here are photos of key games during each inning.

First inning

Second inning

After seeing his starting pitcher give up a few punches, manager Gabe Kapler pulls Anthony DeSclafani out of the game. The Dodgers lead 2-0.

Third inning

The giants escaped the dangerous situation with the loading of the bases thanks to the catch of Lamont Wade Jr.

Fourth inning
Los Angeles-based Mookie Betts hit a double home run, pushing the Dodgers’ lead to 4-0.

Fifth inning

On the positive side, the Giants managed to load the bases and score at the fielder’s choice. Unfortunately, the Dodgers have filled the bases as well, but the Giants have limited the damage. The score now stands at 5-1.

Sixth inning

When the bull pen was thinning, Kapler turned to pitcher Zach Littell, who finished the sixth inning without giving up. For the first time since the third half, the score was not lost.

Dodgers pitcher Blake Trainen put down any comeback attempt, while Littell continued to perform well, hitting three hitters.

Eighth inning

The Giants managed to score again, but Will Smith of the Dodgers made a home run with two rounds, which put an end to the game. The score now stands at 7-2.
