Photos: The Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies without coach Steve Kerr

Warriors coach Steve Kerr tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal series against the Memphis Grizzlies.

News of Kerr entering the league’s health and safety protocol broke just two hours before tipoff on Monday night. No one else on the Warriors roster or staff tested positive on Monday.

Assistant coach Mike Brown serves as acting head coach in place of Kerr.

Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant would miss Game 4 with a knee injury, while Warriors Jonathan Cuminga started Game 4, the second playoff start of his career.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green was saddened for former Michigan State basketball player Adrian Payne, who played for the Spartans from 2010–14, at the age of 31 after being shot in Orlando Florida on Monday morning. It’s done.

The Warriors take a 3-1 lead over the Grizzlies in a best-of-seven series after their 101-98 win tonight.
