SCHENECTADY – A man was wounded in the leg after someone fired shots at another car in Mont Pleasant on Tuesday evening, police said.
Police said that the injured 20-year-old man reached Ellis Hospital for treatment in a private vehicle.
Police said the firing took place just before 6 pm in Francis Avenue and Forest Road areas.
An officer on routine patrol in the area of Crane Street and Francis heard several gunshots from the scene. On the spot, officials found seven shells, but no one was hurt there.
Police said eyewitnesses told that after pulling one vehicle to another parked vehicle, they started firing.
Police said the injured 20-year-old man arrived in Alice shortly after.
Witnesses also said that the person was also in the vehicle that was shot down. The victim was uncooperative, the police said.
The investigation continued on Wednesday as well. No arrests were made.
