At least 14 people broke into a Louis Vuitton store in Oak Brook, Illinois last week and fled with at least $ 100,000 in merchandise, according to CNN affiliate WLS-TV, based on interviews with the Oak Brook Police Department.

Police told WLS that on Wednesday, people broke into a store at the Oak Brook Center, took out trash bags and started filling them with items from the store. In-store surveillance footage obtained by WLS shows a chaotic scene with masked thieves entering the store, grabbing bags and other merchandise as shoppers rush away.

According to Oak Brook Police Chief James Krueger, investigators have information about three vehicles in which the thieves left. Oak Brook is located about 25 miles west of Chicago.

“We are working on these findings to potentially identify suspects,” Krueger told WLS.

Kruger also told WLS that his investigators are working with investigators in the Chicago suburb of Northbrook, where police said eight people left in October with $ 66,000 worth of merchandise from a Louis Vuitton store in Northbrook Court Mall. On November 1, at least 13 men wearing masks and gloves entered the same Louis Vuitton store and stole several items worth $ 100,000. Northbrook is located approximately 48 km from Oak Brook.
