PV Sindhu, Singapore Open 2022: India’s badminton star PV Sindhu has won the title in the Singapore Open 2022. Sindhu, two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, defeated Wang Ji Yi of China 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 in the final.
Earlier, world No-7 badminton star PV Sindhu had defeated unseeded Saina Kawakami of Japan in straight games in the semi-finals. Sindhu had easily won the semi-final by a margin of 21-15, 21-7. Japanese star Kawakami was not seen once overshadowing Sindhu.

Exciting match between Sindhu and Wang
It was not easy for Sindhu to beat world No.11 ranked Wang Ji Yi. In the match that lasted three games, Sindhu started with a win. He defeated Chinese player Wang 21-9 in the first game. Wang then made a comeback and won the second game 21-11 to level the match.

Won second tournament after Swiss Open
