Syria stated this Wednesday that by committing hundreds of massacres and using a scorched earth policy, Israel showed its fascist face that has nothing to do with humanity.
The actions of Tel Aviv are completely incompatible with the values established by the Geneva Convention, the Charter of the United Nations and the simplest rules of human rights, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement published today.
The text refers to the recent bombing of the Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of more than 400 Palestinians and injured hundreds more, and describes it as a war crime and a crime against humanity.
The new crimes remind the world of the massacres committed by Zionist gangs in the 1940s and 1950s in Deir Yassin and Kafr Qasem, the official note said.
On the other hand, he described the statements of officials from the United States and Western countries about Israel’s right to self-defense as disgusting and anti-human.
These positions give the Israeli regime the green light to continue killing Palestinians and destroying hospitals, refugee camps, and homes, the Foreign Ministry considered.
Syria further calls on the people of the world to intensify their struggle to stop these crimes, which threaten to burn human heritage and destroy the dream of a world where peace and stability prevail, the statement added.
According to the latest data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of dead and missing in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli bombardment has risen to almost 11,000 while at least 23,000 have been injured.
