RealtyHop, a real estate company, released a report on the most expensive places in the US, in which it considered the top 100 places with the highest median sales price in 2022.
Atherton, CA topped the list, with an average business closing price of $8,113,000. The next place on the list was Hillsborough, CA, less than 20 miles from Atherton and with an average transaction price of $5,500,000. Woodside, CA tied for second place. Homes in these areas feature thousands of square feet, luxury finishes, and access to local communities.
Among the relevant points of analysis was the following;
– In 2022, the most expensive places to live in twelve states, where 61 are in California, 12 in New York and 6 in Texas.
– New York and California contain the three most expensive regions.
– Eight of the 10 most expensive places to live in California.
– The average closing price of a business for 100 locations is $2,254,578.50 dollars.

For this report, the most expensive properties in the United States were closed using the 2022 Median Closed Transaction Price, using property record data from RealtyHop. For the purpose of the study, cities, towns, and villages with a population of at least 2,500 people were included according to the 2021 American Community Survey conducted by the Census Bureau.
