The town opted to implement the modernization of catwalk technology, using QR codes, internet residents and the support of local businesses to implement companies such as Relleu Telecom. This modernization makes the route even more attractive to both residents and visitors.

The mayor of Relleu, Lino Pascual, thanked them for the honor, remembering all the people who voted for them. The mayor also highlighted the importance of technology for the people. “The technical and human means to manage the state are limited, therefore we understood that the priority was to implement new technologies.”
Pascual wanted to remember the importance of communication in rural areas and how it was necessary in 2020 with the pandemic caused by covid-19. “During the pandemic, the RelleuTelecom project was born together with a local businessman, bringing internet and telephone to the municipality, covering 95% of Relleu and in this way, sharing our elders with their families.”
Technology has been a fundamental point in recent years for Relleu, which is why the focus has been on optimizing and increasing municipal development. “We introduced meteorological sensors and sensors that count the number of people visiting the foot of the bridge, to improve the municipality, to measure air quality and make the municipality more sustainable,” as Pascual explained.
The first local authority Relleu confirmed in his speech the importance of modernization, “for small municipalities, projects like ours to fight depopulation”.
