Right Wing Firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green has tapped someone other than far-right provocateur and British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos as an intern.
Yiannopoulos, 37, said he landed a new gig as an unpaid apprentice for Green in a Telegram post with a photo of a Congressional ID badge.
“I have finally been forced out of retirement,” wrote the former Breitbart editor. “But my skills are a bit rusty, so the best role I could get was an unpaid internship with a friend. pray for me!”
The right-wing button-pusher has largely stayed out of the public eye since 2017, when he reportedly made remarks advocating for pedophilia – saying that sex between 13-year-olds and older men was “life-affirming”. It is possible
After controversial comments, Yiannopoulos resigned from Breitbart News and was removed as a speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Simon & Schuster also canceled its book deal at the time.
Green confirmed that Yiannopoulos is under house arrest in his office in a statement to the Daily Beast, which first reported the news.
Green told The Daily Beast, “So I have an intern who was raped by a priest as a young teen, was gay, at some point pissed everyone off, turned his life back to Jesus and the church.” Gave it, and changed my life.” “Fabulous Story!”
Last year, Yiannopoulos made a comeback into the limelight for declaring to come out as “ex-gay” and advocating for conversion therapy, a practice that has been repeatedly condemned by LGBTQ activists.
Ahead of his job announcement, Yiannopoulos has reposted several of Green’s Twitter posts and news stories on his Telegram feed.
On May 17, she posted a photo of herself and the Congresswoman with the caption, “At the Ritz-Carlton in Georgetown, Mai Tais and lightly fried octopus discussing the harsh crisis of white supremacy.”
On May 12, she posted a picture of herself looking at her nameplate outside her office door.
In a follow-up post to his internship news, Yiannopoulos wrote, “Mommy always said I’d end up in government!”
