The C-SPAN network reported that 112 lawmakers had turned against him and It only supports 86.
At the end of that meeting, Jordan appealed the need to support his potential successor.
In the vote of the entire House on Tuesday, Jordan got only 200 votes and a day later 199, after rejecting about twenty Republicans. In the first two days it needed the support of 217 in total because 432 lawmakers were present, compared to 429 on Friday.
New applicants have until Sunday to present and the party will hold a forum on Monday afternoon to evaluate those candidacies, before proceeding to an internal vote on Tuesday.
At least five Republicans have already filed for the nomination, while others are still considering it.

He took another step forward Austin Scottin his case for the second time, because he has faced Jordan before for the nomination and will try again.

The Lower House has been without a president for more than two weeks, after the previous one, fellow Republican Kevin McCarthy, was dismissed following a motion against him presented by the radical Matt Gaetz, of his own party.
In the beginning, the Republican Party Steve Scalise was nominated, but he withdrew of his own free will realizing that he did not have enough support. When Jordan was elected, he was forced to retire.
Before abandoning the latter, the eight hard-line Republicans who managed to defeat McCarthy at the beginning of the month said they were ready to be reprimanded for rebelling against Jordan, their favorite candidate, who had been elected.
On the Democratic side, the minority leader is seeking the position of president, Hakeem Jeffries who in the first two votes achieved the full support of the Democrats, but also not enough to be elected.
The presidency Internal affairs were in the hands of conservative Patrick McHenryappointed by McCarthypresidency’song as there is no “speaker”, as that position is recognized in English, no new resolutions or laws can be approved.
The Lower House, therefore, is blocked at a time when the budgets for the current fiscal year still need to be approved and when the US president, Joe Biden, recently asked Congress to approve something that is more than 100 billion dollars. Which includes the aid of 14.3 billion for Israel and a new package for Ukraine for 61.4 billion.
