A part of the Baracoa beach boardwalk, in Bauta, hosts the honor of the Lord of the Vanguard from the main authorities of the province and the municipality; pioneers and a community recovering together from the impact of the tornado just a week ago.
Precisely, the promotion of sanitation and risk reduction in damaged areas, especially Loma de Carucho, is included in the program of the day.
Gladys MartÃnez Verdecia, president of the Provincial Defense Council (CDP), exchanged with residents affected by the hydrometeorological phenomenon; and spoke to members of the Defense Council of Zone 03 at the Frank PaÃs GarcÃa primary school.
MartÃnez Verdecia also confirmed the preparation of the fire department and the Bautenses to throw the grenade, assemble and disassemble the AKM rifle, shoot with a reduced caliber and work on the gas mask.
Bauta’s Territorial Defense Day includes voluntary blood donation; the supply of water pipes to the towns of Anafe and Ben Tre; sanitation works; and an act of revolutionary affirmation.
As part of the day, five area territorial defense exercises were held in Bauta, San Cristóbal, BahÃa Honda, Mariel and Caimito.
