The training, which had an opening ceremony at the Varona amphitheater of the UH and continued its sessions at the Meliá Cohíba, was attended by about 100 professors from higher education centers from a dozen Cuban provinces an Russian-speaking university student.
The course is advised by Rosbiotech, an important higher education center founded in Moscow in 1930.
The delegation from the University of Moscow was led by the director of the Center for Engineering and Complementary Education, r. of Sciences Anastasia Fedosina, who explained that this training is materialized thanks to the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo agency and will allow raising the qualifications of Russian language teachersin Cuban universities.
The course provides modern tools for teaching Russian language and literature, Fedosina explained.
At the inauguration of the course this Thursday, Inna Chetii, Cuban representative of the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo, expressed her satisfaction with the conduct of this training, an experience that she hopes will reach universities in other provinces of the Caribbean country.
The vice-rector of the University of Havana, Dr. Marian Hernández, thanks this professional training program to teach the Russian language, which is the result of the cooperation between the two countries and the centers of higher education.
These sessions, said Hernández, will allow teachers to expand their knowledge of methods to achieve quality education in the Russian language.
Until next Sunday, attendees will receive an update on the most advanced methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
