Citizens usually receive SMS which informs us of problems with bank entities where we have not contracted any products, packages that we did not order, false requests from Social Services and even traffic fines from the DGT, and other similar communications usually from cybercriminals and from time to time. alert the National Police and the Civil Guard or the Cybersecurity Institute (I’m sorry).
but Not everything that comes to us via SMS is a scam. This is the case of the alerts that the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) has begun to issue in this way on the mobile devices of users to facilitate their subscription to the AviSAS notification system.
In this first wave, about 70,000 messages were sent to users in the province of Córdoba which takes care of one of its public hospitals.
The text of the SMS
As indicated in a note by the Andalusian Government, after analyzing the results obtained in the first shipment, These SMS are being expanded gradually to other citizens to invite them to register in the system through the following text: “If you want to receive notifications from SAS on appointments, announcements, etc., you can request it at https://avisas.lajunta/12345”, where the the identification number will be unique every citizen.
By accessing the link, those who have the application installed in Health Andalusia can register through it. For those who don’t have it, open the ClicSalud+ website to do this.
In both cases, they must identify themselves using a secure method and, when the subscription is activated, they can choose the CANAL why they want to receive these notifications with information personalized (hospital, specialty, etc.): email, SMS, or notifications in the app itself.
This hospital appointment notification system was launched at the beginning of the year for appointments for consultations and diagnostic tests and is currently available in 23 hospital centers in Andalusia it is expected that between now and the end of the year all centers will install it to announce their appointments and thus eliminate the local digital solutions that have been operating until now.
AviSAS is a system builder interaction and information mechanisms between professionals and citizens keep in mind the certainty, simplicity, and security that must be included in this type of communication, introduces the Andalusian Government.
