From the concert stage to the stage of Studio 8H.
Selena Gomez and Post Malone are both appearing on the May 14 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” and this could cause a little trouble in the Green Room.
The “Only Murders in the Building” star, 29, and “Rockstar” singer, 26, appeared in the show’s promo with cast members Bowen Yang and Eddie Bryant, who dubbed them both “divas”.
Gomez is hosting the show for the first time in her career and is making her “SNL” debut as the musical guest of the post episode.
Bryant, 35, quipped this week about how there were “two pop stars and two comedy actors” on the show.
Cue the cricketers
“I’m actually an actor too,” Gomez said, while Malone added: “And I’m not really a pop star!”
“Oh well, I didn’t know you were all a bunch of divas!” Bryant said exaggeratingly.
Yang, 31, then tried to tease the “Love You Like a Love Song” crooner. “Selena, hosting for the first time,” he said in the promo. “Are you nervous? There are ants in your pants?”
“No, I’m just excited,” she replied. “Are you sure?” Bryant asked. Malone then jokingly agrees that he should check his pants before hosting the show.
Yang, Bryant and Malone then astonishingly mention that they dropped an ant field on his pants, along with jelly, and left them outside for three days.
“Sorry!” The trio said in unison, as Gomez looked down at her trousers with a worried expression on her face.
There was even more good news for the “Congratulations” singer this month when it was announced that he was expecting his first child with his longtime girlfriend.
“I’m excited for this next chapter of my life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and I was sad ever since I remembered,” the rapper told TMZ on May 3.
“It’s time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as I can every day,” he said.
