The 1st Trial Court in Matters of Crimes of Violence against Women of Táchira ordered a sentence of 23 years and four months in prison for teacher Gregorio Jesús Duarte Toscano (53) for his responsibility in abusing his 13 -year-old mother-daughter, reported the Public Ministry.
This situation was discovered on October 9, 2021 after the complaint made by the victim’s mother to the Táchira state Police headquarters (Politáchira) located in the town of La Tendida, Samuel Darío Maldonado municipality.
According to the investigation, during the mentioned date the teenager went with his mother to the Politáchira headquarters to report that his stepfather was taking advantage of the moments he was alone with the young woman to sexually abuse him.
In this way, the testimony of the victim said that the encounters started one day when Duarte Toscano touched her private part of the body, made her lie on the bed and took off her clothes; He performed oral sex on her. Likewise, the man forced her to give him fellatio under the threat that she would not bring more food home if she refused, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
As a result of the abuse mentioned earlier, the young woman considered taking her own life by strangling herself with a towel; but he decided to tell his mother what happened.
After the relevant gynecological and psychological evaluation, the man was arrested on October 11, 2021 to be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
In the trial, the 16th Prosecutor’s Office of Táchira approved the indictment against Duarte Toscano for committing sexual abuse of a teenager who continued to enter.
When the prosecutor’s office had evacuated the evidence inherent in the case, the aforementioned special court issued the aforementioned sentence against the teacher and established his imprisonment at the Western Penitentiary Center; located in Santa Ana del Táchira, detailed in the Prosecutor’s Office.
