Belgrade, December 7 (Prensa Latina) Serbian Defense Minister, Milos Vucevic, confirmed today that the situation in Kosovo and north of Metohija is explosive, which could easily explode and continue to escalate.
The atmosphere is so tense that one match is enough to set everything on fire and take an undesirable direction, Vucevic told TV Prva.
According to the minister, Pristina’s actions are a clear signal to the Serbs in the province that they are not welcome there.
It is the terror organized by the unrecognized administration of Kosovo’s prime minister, Albin Kurti, and its policy, that constitute complete ethnic cleansing in that region, Vucevic stressed.
During the day yesterday, Kosovar special forces entered the election commission building in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
According to local media reports, explosions were heard, some areas of the city were filled with smoke, sirens were heard.
In addition, Kosovo police also forced their way into the building of the Zubin Potok municipality in unrecognized northern Kosovo on Tuesday.
During the takeover, as citizens inside the building protested, explosions and sirens were heard at the scene.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic insisted that according to the Brussels agreements, the Kosovo police could enter the north of the region only with the consent of the four mayors, but asked no permission.
The president said that after receiving the disapproval of the population, Kosovo’s special forces withdrew from the northern part of the Serbian province.
