Snow has made its appearance in a large part of Catalonia this Tuesday. The Barcelona region, central Catalonia and parts of the province of Girona were among the most affected. Snow has also occurred inside the Camp de Tarragona areas and in some areas of Lleida.
Barcelona has been one of the areas that has seen snow. Tibidabo, the uplands of the city and the Kolesarola mountain were covered in white on Tuesday morning. It has also been a hero in Valles, with Sabadell and Teresa being the two towns that have snow.
Meteocat has published on its social network a map of the regions of Catalonia where snow has been observed as of 4:35 p.m. However, you can follow live snow alerts through its website.
At this time, the rain is moving towards Lleida and Terres de l’Ebre. The snow level remains between 200 and 300 metres. Snowfall is likely to continue till Tuesday afternoon.
Civil Defense has deactivated the cold alert that was activated last Saturday. At present, it is expected that the minimum temperature will no longer be as low as the previous nights.
