The Korean and US militaries are preparing for major live-fire exercises near the border with North Korea on Thursday, despite warnings from Pyongyang that they will not tolerate what is being described. they will storm their gates with hostility.
Thursday’s exercises, the first round of 500 firing exercises were carried out by two partners during the middle of June for an hour; the 70th anniversary of the military alliance between Seoul and Washington was celebrated. On other occasions, North Korea has conducted large-scale exercises with missiles and other weapons.

Pyongyang claims its frequent succession of tests is in response to increased military exercises by the United States and South Korea.although experts believe that North Korea wants to promote its weapons development and thereby extract concessions from its rivals in the subsequent diplomatic process.
The exercises planned by South Korea and the United States, which have been called “extermination combined firepower maneuvers,” would be the largest of their kind so far. The exercises have been held 11 times since they began in 1977, according to South Korea’s defense ministry.
Officials have indicated that they will include this year’s maneuvers US and South Korean fighters are stealthily launching helicopter gunships, tanks and multiple rocket systems. At first it was not clear how many soldiers were participating, although the exercises last year in 2017 – the most recent until this year – brought together some two thousand soldiers and 250 weapons from the two countries.
