Members of Mexico City’s Undersecretariat for Traffic Control and the Secretariat for Citizen Safety (SSC) of Mexico City have introduced the “Escortas Primera Etapa” device to notify drivers of escort vehicles of violations of applicable traffic laws, thereby promoting safe driving and avoiding accidents, in Office of the Mayor of Miguel Hidalgo.
The device was carried out as part of the vehicle inspection program to prevent them from violating traffic rules and endangering public safety, based on the legal framework of the Law on Private Security stipulated in Articles 8, 12, 24. 28 and 35 as well in the Regulation of the Federal Law on the Private Security of the City, implemented in Articles 2, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17 and 21.
Traffic officials set up an integral device in the streets of the Polanco neighborhood to ensure the well-being of the population and prevent traffic accidents. During this operation, they checked 21 vehicles, prepared 14 violations, nine guarantees and 16 verbal reprimands. In addition to conducting, 47 interviews and 51 triptychs were distributed to avoid excess and risk and to publicize the duties of security personnel from various private security companies.
This type of device is used to increase road awareness, avoid accidents, as well as to publicize the obligations and penalties established by law, such as the absence of metal plates in the vehicles used and the omission of the term “accompaniment” in them belongs to vehicles.
